What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Orders

We only collect information that we need that is related to your order. This includes your:
Billing Address
Shipping Address
Email Address

In addition we also collect information on your IP address, browser type, and Refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so that we can improve our marketing.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

We will receive your name and email address if you fill in our contact form. We do not do anything with this info unless you request to be added to our mailing list

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Analytics

We monitor how many people view our website and how they interact with it but this is based on your I.P Address and does not involve any personal data.

Who we share your data with

We do not intentionally share your data with anyone but it is a WordPress Site using 3rd party plugins who all maintain their own privacy policies in line with the Data Protection Act.

Your information is only used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information to ANYONE.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your contact information

Your contact information is stored on our secure server. We do not store hard copies. It is printed only for the purpose of providing your receipt/proof of purchase and for use during the shipping process, where your address is obviously used.
Your order is also emailed to our dedicated email account using our secure server. This information is password protected.

Additional information

How we protect and store your data

Only your order data billing, shipping, and order contents data is stored on our server. This information is encrypted using a Secure Sockets Layer before it is transmitted over a web server. We do not collect or store your Credit Card or Paypal data – no payment information is taken by this website.

A note about ‘https’ vs ‘http’. We do not currently  hold and SSL certificate. This is because we don’t handle payment information. Please do not be concerned if google describes our website as ‘insecure’. We do not need a higher level of security for the activity that takes place on our site.

In addition to the layers of security provided by our Webhost, WordPress and 3rd Party Plugins, we use dedicated security plugins to protect our site and your information.

What data breach procedures we have in place

In the unlikely event of  data breach we would inform you as soon as possible as to what information we deem to have been breached in what the implications of that are, in consultation with WordPress and our Webhost/Service Provider and act swiftly to secure our site.
